"To be a great philospher is not merely to have subtle thoughts...but to love wisdom as to live according to as it dictates, a life of simplicity, independance, magnamity and trust"
Anyone guess who said that? Yep, my main man Henry David. As if Walden wasn't an awesome book, theres The Gospel According to Larry, this is an amazing book. i read it a little while ago, and am reading it again. If ever i would cheat on brandon with a book, it would be this book. I love it. Its based of a lot of Thoreau's writings, and it makes you think about youre own life. READ IT!!! although it is fiction, i think.
Anyway, on to my philosophical rant. Anti Comercialism!!!! Why do we subject ourselves to being walking billboards for Abercrombie? Look around you, your brain is being fried by television ads telling you what to wear, what to eat, where to eat it at, where to buy your clothes, what shoes you need what makeup you need to look like this.... it is annoying. Don't let trends or the idiot box control you life. Live a life of passion. and be ambitious. Don't live life from day to day like i did for so long thinking only of yourself.
Another thing, is have tolerance. Have tolerance for people who don't think the same way you do. I had this problem for a while too. I judged people to quickly, like Ashley Strickler, she's really cool, i just thought she was a stupid prep for a really long time and it was totally selfish of me. Tolerance doesn't mean you have to think the same way it just means you should respect them as a person and there opinion. And be open to there point of view. You don't have to be stuck in your ways.
